On The Street

Photography for this photographer has always been more the journey than the photograph. Street Photography is just one more path to be taken in that Journey.

I chose to work with Street photography because I wanted to photograph people without them realizing it rather than photographing that staged smile you get when people know they are about to be photographed.

Kind of ironic in a way, since in the past I did my best not to include people in my photos. I’m really looking forward to seeing where street photography takes me.

My choice for a street camera is the Apple iPhone SE3. Perhaps not the best street camera, but its small compact size makes for a very inconspicuous camera.

It allows me to just be one more in the crowd taking photos with a smartphone. The SE3 fits snuggly in a breast shirt pocket allowing me to take closeup photos via a remote.

So far my street photography has taken place during daylight hours, but soon I’ll be on Broadway after sundown for what I hope will be my best street photography.
